“I loved middle school so much that I decided to stay there forever!” said no person EVER! However, here I am, twenty years later, spending my days in a junior high library; and honestly enjoying every minute of it! Between reading YALit and binge watching Doctor Who; I am also a wife, mother, and full time librarian. I love to read and the only thing, perhaps, that I love more than reading is telling other people what they should read!
What I love: my family, reading, and road trips. One of my life goals is to visit all 50 states before the age of fifty. I’ve already visited 43 states and I have plenty of time left to complete my list!
What I’m professionally passionate about: books, specifically young adult books. When people ask me if I read a new Best Seller, my answer is usually, “oh, I don’t really read adultbooks.”
I’m a member of: Texas Library Association, Texas Computer Educators’ Association, Texas Association of School Library Administrations, and I serve on the reading committee for TLA’s Lone Star Reading List
Currently: I’m the Library Media Specialist at Azle Junior High in Azle, Texas (a small town northwest of the DFW metroplex)
My Presentations: I’ve presented on educational technology at TLA’s District 7 meeting as well as FWISD’s Technology Conference
